nintendo just announced a second reminder about the nintendo wii u and 3DS online stores closing next march, and added funds no longer being acceptable in late august. this is still sad to think about, as both were the last nintendo systems to actually buy classic games, without the need of having an online subscription, as well as exclusive games not found anywhere else as rereleases, and still to this day, the wii u is the only console to have DS games to be classic titles as purchases. since nintendo has also been a bit stingy as of late with game preservation, i think it's safe to say that there shouldn't be an issue pirating the games that won't see a rerelease. if you're fine with playing the games on CRT, that's fine. but me being in my mid 30s now, i just can't see it being good for my eyes with that fuzz on the screen, it has to be smooth. The World Series trophy tour stopped in my town today and I had the pleasure and privilege of getting my picture taken with it. Sorry, Houston Astro fans. "Magic can happen to you."

Vince McMahon has officially been forced into retirement after all the drama he has had to endure the past month with the sexual harassment and NDA's coming to light. On top of that, it looks like Brock Lesnar has walked out on the company (though people are speculating it is a work). I would love to be a fly on the wall of the WWE corporate office right now. *Insert funny signature here*

I'm sure the superstars, whose careers he ran into the ground, are glad to see him gone. "Magic can happen to you."

@BEN, yeah that really stinks. I'm not a fan of all these subscription models and removing the ability to purchase classic games you may want to play is the pits. I've long been a collector of physical game carts, but I also don't have a problem with pirating game roms for various retro emulation systems. I usually will *only* do this is the games are completely unobtainable through legitimate sources and/or ridiculously overpriced on the secondary market (for original carts, etc). Still, like you said, for those willing, the games are out there and playable on a variety of devices. Still stinks not to have the official avenue of purchase and support though. www.AnthonyJRapino.com

@BEN, oh yeah, and regarding CRTs. I stopped playing on those a long time ago. I know people love the feel of it, and for some original systems you actually need a CRT for it to look and play correctly, but I've moved on. The only thing I miss is being able to play light gun games. www.AnthonyJRapino.com
