4013ArticleSupermanI love this movie. My first time watching it was while I was in kindergarten, long past the time when the movie was actually in theaters. It was airing on TV, and I watched it with my mom.Seeing E.T. For The First TimeJul 24, 2017View
4012ArticleSupermanI've got plenty of fond memories of Discovery Zone. I loved those mazes as a kid. Like your family, mine never could have afforded a trip to Disneyland, so I guess Discovery Zone was in a way "my" Disneyland.Discovery Zone: Memories of a Ball PitJul 24, 2017View
4011ArticleVaporman87While Hoskins may be perfect in some ways, he just lacks an intimidating frame. Like I said, he would have had to go ape on the weights for a very long time just to come close to Wolvie's shape. I would probably have gone with somebody like Tom Cruise. He's short, he can pack on muscle when he needs to, and he's insane. Kinda like Logan. My Dream Cast for a 1987 X-Men movieJul 22, 2017View
4010ArticleHoju KoolanderThis was a great What If... experiment. I have to echo everybody else in disagreeing with Claremont's vision for Wolverine. I remember in an old Wizard magazine they cast a Cape Fear era Robert DeNiro as Logan, which seemed like a good choice. Loved the Rutger Hauer pull too, makes so much sense. Oh and Dolph Lundgren for Colossus, right? DUH!My Dream Cast for a 1987 X-Men movieJul 22, 2017View
4007ArticleNLoganBob wouldn't be my first choice.But at 5'4" he was close to the right height and was hirsute. <img src="/images/postImages/15007532128229-21901.jpg" width="231" height="173">My Dream Cast for a 1987 X-Men movieJul 22, 2017View
4006ArticleFlixtheCatJr@OldSchool80s: In the comics, Wolverine is only 5'3", I think Bob Hoskins is a great choice, personally. My Dream Cast for a 1987 X-Men movieJul 22, 2017View
4005ArticleHoju Koolander@OldSchool80s Yeah, smells are big. The sweet scent of the gum that used to come with Topps trading cards always takes me back. @Vaporman87 Seriously. I'm thinking of making friends with all the senior citizens I know, just so I can rummage around their basements.Raiders of the Lost ToysJul 22, 2017View
4004ArticleHoju Koolander@NLogan KB was a way to shop for "retro" toys, but after just a few years of the line's release. @Vaporman87 My complete disregard for conventional employment led to many adventures, that's for sure KB was a discount heaven for those of us who had less mainstream taste. For example, all The Shadow figures found nowadays have a KB Toys price tag on them. Author's Note: I mistakenly called Captain Liberty from The Tick "Liberty Lass" in the article. I got her mixed up with a fictional heroine from Mark Hammil's mockumentary Comic Book The Movie. My bad.Toy Store DreamsJul 22, 2017View
4003ArticleOldSchool80sI like Vanity as Storm and Sherilyn Fenn as Rogue. Bob Hoskins as Wolverine was the biggest miss for me. I does have the hairy forearms, but I think you need somebody taller and much more muscular. Nobody perfect comes to mind, but maybe you go with David Hasselhoff, Chuck Norris or even cast against the norm and go Carl Weathers. I don't know, but I think Professor X and Wolverine are 2 most important casting decisions and you have to get them as right as possible. My Dream Cast for a 1987 X-Men movieJul 22, 2017View
4002ArticleOldSchool80sWhat a fun treasure hunt. It is so amazing how something so small or seemingly insignificant can cause nostalgia to come flooding in. To me it can be just a certain smell and I am taken back in an instant. That's what it is all about for me, the feelings of intense nostalgia that those lovely things can bring me.Raiders of the Lost ToysJul 22, 2017View
