Nostalgic Munchies 2: Electric Boogaloo
Hey, you guys. A couple years ago, I published an article that featured five videos for retro inspired recipes. This year, I decided to do it again. So without further ado, and in no particular order, here are five more retro inspired recipes.
The Krusty Krab Pizza from SpongeBob SquarePants by Feast of Fiction
Who here remembers the SpongeBob SquarePants episode where SpongeBob and Squidward delivers a pizza to a customer who chewed out SpongeBob for not getting him a drink that he didn't even order? Well, I suddenly do. And so do Jimmy and Ashley. So much so, that they made a real life version of the Krusty Krab Pizza. Now personally, I love pizza almost as much as I love SpongeBob, so this would be right up my alley. Sadly, this pizza has mushrooms on it, which is a big turn off for me. But to each their own.
Two ingredient Hi-C Ecto Cooler recipe by Ghostbusters News
One of the most iconic retro drinks from back in the day is Hi-C Ecto Cooler, which was originally a promotional drink released in honor of the Ghostbusters movie. While the original drink has been gone for a while, the Ghostbusters franchise has brought it back a few times. There have also been some dedicated fans who have made their own version of the drink. I myself have even used a recipe for it that I got from someone on Discord. Naturally, the Ghostbusters YouTube channel got it on the fun with their own recipe for Ecto Cooler, and a two ingredient recipe at that. While I enjoyed using the recipe that I have, I would have loved to use this recipe as well, and maybe I'll get to use it in the near future.
Pac-Dots from Pac-Man by Nicholas Purcell
Next we have a recipe for one of the most iconic items in a retro arcade game. Now anyone who has played a Pac-Man game should know that the main objective is to eat up all the Pac-Dots in the maze while avoiding the ghost. Now for those wondering what Pac-Dots are, according to some people, they're cookies. So naturally, someone on YouTube just had to make a real life version of these babies. Personally, I love cookies, so I would love to try this recipe for myself someday. Now if only someone could make a recipe for power pellets. Now that would be really awesome.
Pretty Patties from SpongeBob SquarePants by Babish Culinary Universe
Here's another SpongeBob inspired recipe, this time inspired by the iconic Pretty Patties. But unlike the ones from the show, these ones aren't made with painted meat, nor will they cause any horrifying yet hilarious side effects. In fact, these Pretty Patties aren't made with meat at all. They're veggie burgers. They're even made with vegan cheese, which might seem like a turn off to some of you, but is a major turn on to any vegetarians and vegans out there. At least you don't have to worry about waking up with a purple face or a glow-in-the-dark tongue after eating one of these.
Wasabi Buffalo Wings from The Simpsons by Babish Culinary Universe
Last, but certainly not least, we have a recipe based off a food from a show that, while I'm not a big fan of, is still a big part of a lot of people's childhood. This is a recipe for the iconic (I think) wasabi buffalo wings from The Simpsons. While I've never watched the episode that these are from, or any of the episodes really, I have to admit that these look really good. Maybe I can convince my mom or dad to help me make these someday.
And there you have it! Five more retro inspired recipes. I hope you guys enjoy making these. Maybe I'll do another article featuring more recipes like these. Until then, thank you so much for reading my article and have an awesome day!

I wouldn't mind trying out some of those Pac Dots and washing them down with two ingredient Ecto Cooler. Yum.
