5 Fox Kids shows I want to see on Disney Plus

Saturday morning TV was a big part of my childhood. Whether it was watching Pokemon and Jackie Chan Adventures on Kids WB, Recess and Disney's Doug on Disney's One Saturday Morning, or Kirby: Right Back at Ya and Sonic X on the Fox Box, there was nothing like waking up early in the morning with a bowl of cereal in front of the TV watching watching your favorite shows. Today, we will be talking about another Saturday Morning block that many of us have grown up with: Fox Kids.

From the early 90s to the early 2000s, Fox Kids, has shown many iconic shows doing it's time on the air. From animated shows like Bobby's World, X-Men and Animaniacs, to live action shows like Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Big Bad Beetleborgs and Goosebumps, to anime like Digimon, Medabots, and my personal favorite, Flint the Time Detective, Fox Kids' lineup always bought a smile to every 90s kid's face. But it didn't last long. Eventually, Fox kids was acquired by Disney, along with many of its shows. Luckily, a portion of Fox Kids still lives on, with some of it shows on Disney Plus. Shows like X-Men, Spider-Man, as well as Disney's own shows, like DuckTales, Gargoyles and Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, I'm currently streaming on the streaming platform as we speak. And while that's all well and dandy, there are still some show some fast kids that have yet to be added, and today, I'll be sharing with you guys five shows that I personally want to see get added to Disney Plus.

Now this list is a mix of the most common picks that most people want and my own personal picks. But if you guys would like to tell me what shows you would like to see come to Disney Plus, let me know in the comments down below. For now, and in no particular order, here are five Fox Kids shows I would love to see get added to Disney Plus.

Bobby's World (1990-1998)

Created by famous comedian, Howie Mandel, who also voices the title character, as well as his father, Bobby's World follows 4-year-old Bobby Generic, an imaginative young boy who gets into many misadventures with his family. The show aired in 1990 and lasted eight seasons. From what I have looked up, the rights for the show are currently owned, not by Disney, but by the show's own creator, Howie Mandel. While we're still not sure if or when Howie will ever give the rights to his show back to Disney, I believe the imaginative Adventures of Bobby and his family would make a fine addition to Disney streaming service.

Eek! The Cat (1992-1997)

Running from 1992 to 1997 for 5 seasons, Eek the Cat followed pet cat Eek, who lives in the fictional city of McTropolis and whose motto is "it never hurts to help", which often gets them into trouble. Aside from Eek himself, the show also features other memorable characters, including Eek's girlfriend, Annabelle and his worst nightmare, Sharkey. (Literally Sharkdog before Sharkdog.) Throughout it's runtime, the show was renamed Eek! and the Terrible Thunderlizards, and later Eek! Stravaganza. Along with the name changes, the creators also added two new segments, the previously mentioned Terrible Thunderlizards and Klutter, the latter of which apparently spelled the show's downfall. According to the show's Wikipedia page, Eek and company are currently owned by Disney. So it's only a matter of time before our favorite purple cat makes his way to Disney Plus.

Goosebumps (1995 - 1998)

Based on the popular kids book series by RL Stine and running for four seasons from 1995 to 1998, Goosebumps was a kids' horror anthology series, in which each episode followed a different character in a different scary situation. The show adapted many iconic Goosebumps books, including Monster Blood, Say Cheese and Die and Night of the Living Dummy, just to name a few. The franchise has gotten so popular, that Disney even has a new Goosebumps series in the works with Disney Plus. But even though a new show is coming to the streaming platform, I would still like to see the original Goosebumps show come to Disney Plus as well.

DinoZaurs (2000 - 2000)

Running from July 28th, 2000 to November 30th of that same year for only 26 episodes, Dinozaurs, known as Dinozone in Japan, followed the Dino Knights, who were basically if the Transformers were all prehistoric creatures. Led by Dino Tyranno, and aided by their human allies, Kaito and Rena, the Dino Knights protected the Earth's life force from the evil Dragozaurs. Again, the show only lasted 26 episodes. Originally, the show was owned by Saban Entertainment, but after the license expired, on the ship of the show went to Disney. So who knows, it might just come to Disney Plus. If you guys don't believe me, check it out here.

Flint the Time Detective (2000)

Running from March 5th to November 5th 2000 and lasting 39 episodes, Flint the Time Detective followed cave boy Flint Hammerhead who, after being provide in modern times, now works with his father, Rocky Hammerhead, and their new friends, Tony, Sarah and Pterry, to travel through time and rescue the magical creatures known as Time-Shifters and keep them away from the evil Petra Fina, and her two goons, Dino and Mite. Initially, the show aired on the Fox Family Channel, but later aired on Fox Kids as reruns. Just like Dinozaurs, Flint the Time Detective is currently owned by Disney, so it's only a matter of time before Flint Hammerhead and company comes to Disney Plus. And yes, Disney owns Flint the Time Detective. It says so right here.

And there you have it, folks! Five Fox Kids shows that I really want to see get added to Disney Plus. Of course, those are my picks. What about you guys? What Fox Kids shows would you like to see get added did Disney Plus? Let me know in the comments down below. Thank you so much for reading, and have an awesome day!

it's unfortunate that eek! the cat just faded away into obscurity. apparently after the saban company bought out the property they didn't give a crap about it and wanted it gone so their own shows could get more attention. there hasn't even been any talks of a dvd release after all these years.
