RetroOtaku620 and Level Up's Virtual Easter Egg Hunt

Ah, Easter! Probably one of the best candy related holidays, right behind Halloween. It's the perfect time to spend time with your family, paint Easter eggs, enjoy a nice Easter meal, attend Easter services at church, and of course, Go Easter egg hunting! But with the pandemic going on right now, forcing people to stay in their homes, it looks like there's no chance of that happening this year! So to remedy this little problem, I decided to put together a little virtual Easter egg hunt for you guys, with a little help from Sprite animator extraordinaire, Level Up. Granted, I came up with this idea at the time of writing this, which means by the time this article even goes up, Easter will probably be over by then. But hey, it's the thought that counts, right?

Anyway, below are five mini game videos created by Level Up. Two of which each features 6 smaller Easter egg hunts, the other 3 each features one big Easter egg hunt. Your challenge, should you choose to accept it, is to find all the Easter eggs in each video. Granted, these are little Easter eggs you're looking for, just references, but the idea is still there.

In any which case, let the games begin! Good luck, no cheating, and have fun!

In this video, you have to find certain items and/or characters in each Easter egg hunt. You have 10 seconds to complete each Easter egg hunt. First, you have to find two Dittos hidden in a Pokémon Center in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. It will be tricky, as Ditto is known for changing its shape the fit into its surroundings. Next, you have to find Waluigi in Super Mario Brothers. Make sure you focus real hard, Waluigi is known for being real sneaky. You might miss them if you don't pay attention. After that, you have to find 5 Cuccos in Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Don't blink, or you might miss them! Then, you need to look for Miss Pac-Man in the Pac-Man maze. Be careful you don't miss her! Next, you need to find three melons in the world of Minecraft. Make sure you pay extra close attention, this was really tricky! Finally, this will be the trickiest Easter egg hunt in this video, because you have to find 3 different things: a banana, a Golden Barrel and Funky Kong in the original Donkey Kong. Once you're done with this video, move on to the next one.

In this video, you have six more Easter egg hunts to do. Same challenge as the first one. First, you need to find 3 Ganons in the original Legend of Zelda. Keep your eyes out! Ganon can be really quick for a giant pig monster! Next, you have to find a strange sentient star named Mr. Star. He's a hint: he's pretending to be a regular star over one of the star doors. After that, you have to find 5 Yoshi eggs in Super Mario Land. This will be really tricky, since everything is in black and white. This is a Game Boy title, after all! Next, you have to find 3 Pokéballs at the casino in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. Make sure you keep a sharp eye out, or you might miss one! After that, you need to find 3 Ridley statues in Metroid. Pay close attention, you don't want to miss one. Finally, you need to find all 6 Chaos Emeralds hidden throughout the Marble Hill Zone in Sonic the Hedgehog 2. (Yes, only six. They didn't start doing 7 until later on in the franchise.) Anyway, after you're done with this video, proceed to the next one.

And this one, you have 90 seconds to find 10 Pikachus headed throughout the Viridian Forest in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen. Unlike with the last two videos, you're actually being graded on this one. The more Pikachus you find, the better your grade. Once you're done with this video, move on to the next one.

And this one, you have 75 seconds to find 10 Koopa Troopers in World 1 - 2 Super Mario Brothers. Just like the one before this, you're being graded. Once you're done with this one, move on to the final video.

In this final video, you have 75 seconds to find 10 Goombas in World 1 - 1 in Super Mario Brothers. Just like the two videos before this one, you're being graded. Once you've completed best Easter egg hunt, you're done!

Well, how did you do? You probably did better than I did. Did you guys have fun? I bet you did! I hope you guys enjoyed that! I thought I do this to lift on Spirits given what's happening right now. If you guys want to learn more about the YouTube channel where I got these videos from, please check out my article about Level Up right here. Again, I hope you enjoyed this little Easter egg hunt I put up. I hope you have a great rest of your day. Catch you guys later, and have a happy Easter! Well, a happy belated Easter, anyway.
