Mr Magic
I would like very much to see a TGI Friday's come back to my town.

You?

There are quite a few! I would like to see Burger Chef come back to town. Man, Burger Chef was awesome. That would be the main one I'd like to see back.

I'm not sure if we had a Burger Chef. Looks scrumptious.

Wendy's, H Salt, and Long John Silvers.

When a new franchise comes to the area they usually open them in Los Angeles or Pasadena anyway. It takes a while for them to branch out.

I don't know how good The Ground Round really was. What I can say is when I was a kid, they brought a basket of popcorn to the table before your meal (instead of bread) and projected old cartoons on the wall with the sound off. So it was pretty great for me at the time.

I miss going to Denny's. That was a good place to eat at.

I know everyone complains about them being everywhere, but I would dance in the streets if our town happened to get a Starbucks. The closest one to me is about an hour. Hell, I'd be content with any sort of coffee shop at all, but a Starbucks would be nice.

Ooooh... Media Play and KayBee (KB) Toys! I'd love to see those back again, even if they weren't necessarily in "my town".

A little story regarding KayBee Toys...

In the mid-90's ('94-'96), Trendmasters Toys produced what was then the only American made Godzilla figures (ones that WEREN'T simply imports from Japan or elsewhere).

When Trendmasters went belly up, the value of the figures started to rise. Not long after that, I joined Ebay and began to see that, indeed, the value of Trendmasters Godzilla figures was quite high. I had a nice stash of my own, but I wanted to find some to sell. There was a great deal of hype building for the Godzilla film being made by Devlin and Emmerich, and that was fueling some of the prices too.

I was a bachelor, with not much to do. So, I took it upon myself to begin using my weekends to travel to malls across Ohio and West Virginia. I printed out directions, then planned my trips. I wasn't always sure that a particular mall had a KayBee Toys, so sometimes it was hit and miss. But I did find a few of the Trendmasters figures still around in some of the stores. Nothing to write home about though.

It's weird to think that, at one time, I had so much free time that I used weekends to do that sort of thing. It also seems a bit pathetic now too.

@NLogan:

Some of those businesses you mentioned still exist in my town. Like Chuck E. Cheese's, Little Caesar's, Waldenbooks, and Hardee's. (A new one is supposed to be built here.)
