There was one in my neighborhood, but it closed down. It got turned into a hair salon.

This year, they added an Olive Garden and Dunkin' Donuts here in town, so I'm happy about that.

Tower shut down completely. I used to live near the original store in Sacramento, shortly before all locations closed for good. There was also a Tower Theater and a Tower Cafe on the same block. The cafe was very good. They had french toast three inches thick. It was one of those places that had a line around the block for brunch on weekends. I only went to the theater once, no complaints but I don't remember it much. I'm sure it was classic style. I do know it had the movie posters outside.
I can't help but think Tower and other defunct retail companies would still be in business if they had stayed small. (See my previous post) Especially if all retailerers stayed small. Is that naive? I suppose I'm stomping on The American Dream or something |

I thought they were going to our old Circuit City building into a Best Buy, but it's an Ashley Furniture store instead.

Well, it turns out there was a Burger Chef in my town once, according to my dad. In fact, that's where he met my mom and fell in love. It later on got turned into a Pearlys' restaurant.
