Letting another cat out of the bag here... though it isn't necessarily "holiday" related so, no real need to keep tight-lipped.

Moudy and the gang have been very busy working on the DigiChars Online Board Game, and it's slowly coming together, but I asked him if he would "pause" that for now, and work on a project for the main site.

This project will be a "store" where you can all spend your hard earned points you've been accumulating (if you haven't already cashed them out). The store will be the place where you can use your points to purchase the Goodie Packs, as well as other items.

Points will have a MUCH higher value spent in the store than if you cash them out. For instance, where 100 points might net you a buck in PayPal, spent in the store it might get you a set of DVDs, or maybe even an entire Goodie Pack.



I would like to get your feedback on what you would like to see sold in the store. It can be anything really, but hopefully it has at least SOME aspect of it that could be considered "retro" (whatever that might mean to you).

I really like this idea. I don't contribute for money so it would be nice to use the points towards prizes. I'd like to see some second hand retro goodies. A used snes controller,  300 points. A Boglin,  75,000 points.

I like this idea. As for ideas I would go with maybe some books based on retro stuff. Personally I'd suggest Slimed! A History of Nickelodeon's Golden Era. But it might be a good idea.

How about using points to add flair to our profiles or posting? Like 75 points and you can post in premium fonts, 100 points and your text glitters? A special "Retro-Daze Lounge" with special site features that costs 20 points a month?

But, I LOVE this idea. And the 2nd hand stuff. Vaporman perhaps you can find some dead  stock novelties or the like. Or if you find small batches of things you could do "grab bags".

One of the t-shirt designs that will be available in the Points Store, which will hopefully be open for business sometime next week.

looks like i have some motivation to write a batch of articles, i'm a few hundred points behind to get the october goodie pack as it's listed
