Mad Max: Fury Road is slated for release 05/15/15. Fortunately they are not going to try to shoehorn old man Gibson into this. I am also glad that it retains the director of the first three movies (George Miller) and especially glad that this is NOT a reboot. It occurs within the same timeline or universe as Mad Max, Road Warrior, and Beyond Thunderdome. Tom Hardy, also seen in Inception, The Dark Knight Rises, and Sucker Punch takes on the title role. This has been in the works for 25 years! I'm glad it is finally happening, and that all indications are that it will be done right.

Seeing that the original director is involved gives one a great deal of confidence that it won't completely suck. Now let's see what they do as far as advancing the story.

Tom Hardy is awesome. I was always confused about the Mad Max Saga. In the first movie society in general seemed a whole lot more stable, Max lived in a home and had a job as a cop. Then in the 2nd its like everyone lives on the road in converted buggies.

It will advance the story by clearing up some of that confusion, as it takes place between the first two movies. Reading about this is the first time I encountered the word "interquel". It's nice that it's not a straight sequel. Like after Thunderdome, "and then some more stuff happened!" Just another adventure. Or a prequel to the whole series where we find out what Max was like before it all or something lame like that.

That's a good term for this type of film. "Interquel". I'm intrigued.

Now I'm more intrigued.
I especially like this part: "Mad Max: Fury Road will have "few digital effects and even less dialogue," according to Entertainment Weekly." You love this signature.
