Look close, the Polestar 5 has no rear window.

On November 9, 2023, Los Angeles played host to the very first Polestar Day! After mounting criticism over slow product development, Polestar revealed the Polestar 3, 4, 5 and 6 all at the same event - plus a number of future prototype design studies.

The Polestar 4 is a crossover-like sedan.

The Polestar 4 and Polestar 5 are notable for having No Rear Window. Both models feature two rear cameras that display on the driver's rearview mirror.

The Polestar 5 is a full luxury sedan.

What an odd design choice.

While I do find the Polestar lineup attractive, I can't shake the feeling that the lightweight, affordable e-cars I dreamed of - are not what manufactures want to build. 

Strange design choices are not what new car buyers need right now.
