We 90s kids all know about the hit Nickelodeon series Kenan and Kel.
Well, Kenan Thompson is doing a new show on NBC, but it's just called "Kenan". Don Johmson, who starred in NBC's "Miami Vice" plays the father-in-law. Will this show stand out?

I think I was a bit too old when K&K was on. I know of it, but didn't watch it back then. It's interesting to see him have a new show with his name in the title again. I'll probably tune in and see what it's all about. www.AnthonyJRapino.com

Same here. I missed the entire Nickelodeon boom, Pokemon boom, all that. I graduated in '92, so that was all after my time pretty much. onipar wrote :

Kenan and Kel is an All That spin-off. So, Kenan is a Saturday Night Live spin-off? "Magic can happen to you."

I was a big fan of Kenan and Kel as a kid. I'm glad he's moved up to bigger things, but I don't think it'll be that good. I've seen some of his SNL stuff. It's not that funny, though I don't blame him for that considering the show has sucked for over two decades now. I however also think he isn't that great of an actor. He comes across as very stilted and amateurish at times. It's almost like he never evolved beyond where his skills were at as a child actor. *Insert funny signature here*

I hadn't seen too much of SNL Kenan. I don't really have any interest in the SNL of today. "Magic can happen to you."

I was young enough for some of the Nick stuff, but K&K started in 1996 (I was 16), right when I was starting to watch other kinds of things. I was probably watching X-files www.AnthonyJRapino.com

I've watched the first 2 episodes. It's kind of meh to me. It's produced by Broadway Video the same compamny that produces SNL. |

Canceled after 2 seasons. "Magic can happen to you."
