Superman
A couple of weeks back, I got my picture taken with Gillian Anderson, who played Dana Scully on The X-Files. For a kid of the '90s who liked all things science fiction, this show was a pretty big part of my life for a few years. While I didn't watch the series all the way to it's conclusion or see any of the newer episodes produced (I've got a good excuse to go back and get onto watching those now, though, don't I?), I do credit the show with giving me an interest in movies and shows about UFOs, aliens, and the paranormal.

As photo ops are usually a really quick process, there's not much of a story to go along with this picture, though she did ask me how I was feeling and also thanked me for paying to get a picture with her before I left. Even without a big story, it was a fun experience. It felt really cool to get up close to an actress who was the star of a show I was watching while I was in elementary school. If I could time travel and tell my younger self about this, I'm sure my past self wouldn't be able to believe that this actually happened.

I was hoping this was going to be a photo of you and Julia Louis Dreyfus.

The women of New Vegas ask me a lot if there's a Mrs. New Vegas. Well, of course there is! You're her. And you're still just as perfect as the day we met.

As a big science fiction fan, I'm more than satisfied that it was Gillian Anderson that I got to meet.

Yep! I've got a big photo album that I've been using for the specific purpose of collecting all of the different photo ops I've gotten at conventions. I immediately made sure to place this one into it.

You should have bent her over and planted a big wet one as the photographer took the shot - then you would have had a story behind it!

Haha, I didn't exactly want to be thrown out or have something worse happen to me.
