That picture is just so well done, yet odd.  I think it's the best cartoon character "real"ization I've ever seen.  I'm not sure why there are so many such things.  Perhaps a way for people to flaunt their Photoshop texture skills using as canvas a character so well-known and liked.  But some of them are really terrible, as seen in the Simpsons in real life thread.
