Turner has always owned Cartoon Network.  When Dexter's Lab was a success on the What A Cartoon! show, it was greenlit for more episodes.  I don't think Genndy Tartakovsky had any trouble.

I've heard of the Showtime series. I haven't taken the time to see it, though. I feel like I'm missing something big here.
