It's been pretty soggy here too. It's made getting the living room addition on a bit more of a headache and more time consuming.

That sucks. Over Thanksgiving my father told me what a pain in the ass it was trying to do his and my mothers new metal roof. The entire thing was held up for weeks because the contractor couldn't find good and sturdy snow guards for the roof. Then when he finally does, it's these funny looking snow guards in the shape of the Fleur-de-lis.

More hard rain. It sure beats rainless days!

Man, I still can't figure out how we managed to get to this point so quickly, but here we are on the cusp of September, which is basically the start of 2 months of Halloween (so declared by Dino Drac, I-Mockery, etc.).

This means leaves are going to start falling soon. It's crazy

Walmart and most of the primitives stores in town are already awash in fall merchandise, so it's hard not to notice that Fall will be upon us very soon. Hurray, I say!

I love Fall.  My oldest daughter and I count down the days till September 21st every year.  The cooler weather, the changing leaves, the smell of wood fires, high school football on Friday nights and local college football on Saturday afternoons, and Halloween are all reasons we get excited for it.
