As much as I enjoyed "To Kill A Mockingbird" I think I'd wanna watch something else on the last day of school. 

Yeah. We didn't have the best selection of films at school either.

now i'm curious as to hear what an audiobook would be like! as i read through it earlier i just imagined hearing ambient sounds in the background like an NES game or a movie playing as the story goes on.

Those would be sounds you would more likely hear in an audio "drama" or "audio theater" production... which would be very cool.
