Wii U Virtual Console:

Gradius (NES)
$4.99

First actual update of 2014, and it's still rather barren. Still sucks there's no Super Mario Bros 3 and A Link to the Past.

Wii U and 3DS Virtual Console:

Castlevania II: Simon's Quest

I think at this point, Nintendo is really starting to test people's patience throughout this whole month. Of course, then again, they're still working on fixing the Pokebank. When that's going to happen, I have no idea.

Simon's Quest! I have that game still in the package/never used. Though, the top seal has been cut open. I have not idea why, but the game has never left it's home in the box.

Wii U Virtual Console:

Mighty Bomb Jack (NES)

3DS Virtual Console:

Life Force (NES)

Another barren week of releases. Though, with Pokemon Bank out in Japan, then I'm hoping a North American release date is not too far away.

'At last, A Link to the Past finally made it on the Wii U Virtual Console. Why they didn't release it to coincide with the release of A Link Between Worlds. But either way, I'm glad the SNES Zelda classic finally made it's way on the Wii U.

On a side note, the Four Swords Anniversary Edition is now up again on the 3DS eShop and will be available between January 30-February 2. The game was removed from the Nintendo eShop in February 2012. Thankfully, I got my hands on the game before it was taken off, so if you haven't gotten yours yet, then I would recommend getting it before the sale ends.

Also, Nintendo announced yesterday that they're going to start bringing DS games to the Wii U Virtual Console. I'm scratching my head as to how that's even going to work. Plus, the DS is not even that old, and the games are still actively selling. Not to mention the 3DS is already backwards compatible with the DS. This also has me asking what the state is of having N64, Gamecube, and GBA games on the Wii U Virtual Console. Nintendo announced those systems back when they first put up the Wii U Virtual Console service, but has said nothing about it since.

DS games on the wii u? that's pretty baffling. i think seeing those grainy 3D textures on the television would hurt my eyes. i'd much rather have those gba games on the 3DS that the people with the ambassador certificates got when the 3DS launched

Is it just me, or has Nintendo gotten into the practice of "milking" past titles for everything they're worth instead of concentrating on getting quality NEW stuff out?
