Now that it is winding down, what is everyone's thoughts on E3 2018?
A lot of people thought everything was hit or miss, which I agree. But I did take some good things away from it. I'm glad we are getting a Doom sequel, and it looks really good from what was shown. I'm looking forward to playing that. Hopefully it's released next year. I'm hyped beyond belief for Spider-Man this September, and I'm glad we got to see some more villains that will be appearing in the game. It looks like they are sticking to the classic villains, and giving them for the most part their classic costumes. I hate the Ultimate Marvel costumes and I'm glad they are simply doing updated looks to the classic costumes (though I wish they didn't make Electro bald).
I hadn't heard of Ghosts of Tsushima before tonight but now I am interested in the game. Death Stranding continues to look promising but I really wish they would release it already. I'm hoping they'll release sometime by October of 2019. I'm a little disappointed in Fallout 76. I really am not interested in an online, multiplayer Fallout game. But I might change my opinion by then.
Now we just have to see what Nintendo has in store for us tomorrow.

I'm pretty disappointed in what they continue to show of Death Stranding. I am glad they're finally showing gameplay, but I still don't know what the hell the game is supposed to be about.
Also, a new Battletoads was announced during Microsoft's E3. Though, they still haven't said if it was going to be a new game or a 4K hand-drawn remake. But either way, I'm looking forward to it.

Not only will the game be four times as large, allow for solo or multiplayer, and include the option to nuke other encampments, BUT it takes place WHERE I LIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This may not be a big deal for many, since most games take place in or around cities that have been recreated a hundred times in games and films. But when you literally live in one of the most unknown and forgotten parts of America, it's HUGE!
I mean, The Mothman Museum is a location on the map in one of the trailers!!!! That's like 15 minutes from our yogurt shop! The location of our yogurt shop could be in this game!
Camden Park is in the game... a small local amusement park, complete with it's dilapidated roller coaster, The Big Dipper!
The Mothman is in the game!

Ghosts of Tsushima looks awesome. I'll definitely be following this game. I have mixed feelings about the new Fallout. I have high hopes for the new Spider-Man also. I've enjoyed pretty much every Spider-Man game I've played, going all the way back to the one for the PC/PS1 that came out in the late 90s...or maybe it was the early 2000s?

The women of New Vegas ask me a lot if there's a Mrs. New Vegas. Well, of course there is! You're her. And you're still just as perfect as the day we met.

so far EA and square have been the two disappointments out of the E3 showings.
i'd take kingdom hearts 3 seriously if they didn't keep spoiling the game through facebook, even scrolling past them doesn't help because in big bulky letters they show what's new.
looking forward to the resident evil 2 remake and last of us 2 as well as that tales of vesperia port. the only nitpick about last of us 2 is that they STILL don't have a release date for it.

Wow Vapor! That is ridiculously cool! I love the amount of attention to detail that they put into it!
Maybe there is a radioactive hermit crab wandering around the hills of West Virginia!

I keep wondering if Bethesda had to get permission from these places in order to recreate them in the game. I should call up Jeff, the owner of the Mothman Museum, and ask.

Or it's about alien lifeforms landing on maybe a human colony and attacking them?
It's been a slow process getting to this point, but I'm interested in the game. I just want it to arrive already.

Nintendo Direct, minus the reveal of Smash Bros, was pretty disappointing IMO. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited for the new Smash Bros game, and loved what I saw, but the entire section dragged on for 20+ minutes. There wasn't really any other games outside of Smash. Nothing of Metroid Prime 4, either. Only thing I will say is that the Nintendo Direct was better than EA's, but not by much.
Sony definitely won E3 this year. Hell, Microsoft did better than what Nintendo did this year.
