The cast of Disney's live-action Aladdin remake has been announced. Apparently, Will Smith will be playing the Genie.

I think Norm MacDonald would've made a better choice for Genie. He did an excellent job voicing the genie from Fairly Oddparents.

i honestly don't think anyone can replace a role as great as robin williams.

They should've brought back Hank Azaria to be the Genie. He was the voice in the tv cartoon and it was actually a pretty good Robin Williams impression.

That was Dan Castellaneta that voiced the Genie in the tv show. He also voiced the Genie in Return of Jafar, Nasiria's Revenge, and Kingdom Hearts I and II.
