Well... yes and no. The main page shows everyone who has logged in, but not logged out.

I think what DudeBro is suggesting is something similar to what RJ has, showing the names of those viewing the forum, which threads, etc. Plus it would need to only show those active in the last so many minutes. Whereas the main page shows those who have logged in and just simply haven't logged out yet, no matter how long it's been since they were active.

I think I've caught sum march madness because my idea is to have a tab for voting i.e a bracket on best Disney villains, best NES games, etc.

Might be a fun way to increase user participation and to soak up some of IGN's google hits

TDITH: I have given this some consideration in the past. I think my fear is that a chatroom could adversely affect the forum... making it (and possibly the site) seem less active. But I don't know that this is a valid fear. That being said, if enough of you guys would prefer there be one, I would certainly provide it.
