I feel that's almost always the case. There was a hole in the wall hotdog place in town that had lines out the door the day it closed.

With Seaworld closing the Orca show in San Diego it seems like theatrical family entertainment is dwindling.

I agree with vkimo here. Though I did go to a show when I was very young, I remember little of it. But it is one of those things that is upsetting to see go, even if it wasn't really a part of our lives.

I think there was not one thing that killed it. It was a lot of things. Big Apple Circus shut down last year. Feld also produces the Disney on Ice and Marvel shows. Personally I think their other shows do better do to branding. Kids will want to see a Marvel or Disney.

I've never been to one of their shows. I might check one out if there's one touring in California, but looking at the ticket sales page, it doesn't seem to be. But man, for something to go on for this long, it's pretty sad to see it go. Just goes to show that something of this much longevity does not guarantee it will stick around. This is a good example of that.
