None more watched of TV films, a Day which stirred our Cold War ills.

Hmm... well, the 80s had a lot of cold war films, but as far as TV films go. The only guess I can think of is World War III... an NBC miniseries from 1982... but I could be wrong about that.

I think this means that the year Vapor is going for is in the 80s. 1984-1988 is for sure left out. I'm leaning more towards the early 80s, but I'm going to wait a little bit to see what others may think before I go with my guess.
