Is Birdman really worthy of being Best Picture?

I've not seen it... yet. I've considered watching it, but so often I watch an Oscar winner and end up feeling like I wasted my time. I don't want to watch moving art. I want to be entertained.

What's the nastiest medicine your mom ever gave you? The tastiest?

For me: Robitussin (tastes like what I imagine jet fuel mixed with cat urine must taste like)
               Triaminic (the only medicine you actually find yourself craving)

Nastiest: A pill my mom cut into half... that thing tasted like a dentist drill.

Tastiest: Expectosan - Hierbas y Miel. A surprisingly delicious syrup that my mother used to gave me to combat flu. It tasted like honey.

I had some bad-tasting cough syrup before. But I also had some good kinds that had a grape and cherry flavor.

Guys, would you recomend me "The Great Mouse Detective"? I heard that it is really good, but I don't know.

It's been too long ago since the last time I sat through it to recommend it or warn you to not watch it. So I would go with Crow's recommendation.
