40352DC Films<span style="font-style: normal; font-weight: normal;">I think the reason the DC movies went the darker, more serious route comes down to <span style="font-style: italic;">The Dark Knight</span>. Think about it; it was a fairly dark and serious movie that was very critically acclaimed. It is arguably the most well received movie adaptation of any DC Comics character, and it easily was just as successful as some (most?) of Marvel's films. The problem is that the powers that be don't realize two things. One, there was </span><b style="font-style: normal;">some</b> humor in even <i style="">The Dark Knight</i><i style="font-style: normal;">,</i>&nbsp;and two, that tone worked well for a Batman movie but doesn't fit well with every character, especially Superman.<div style="font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="font-style: normal;">And yeah, they pretty obviously tried too quickly to play catch up with Marvel instead of taking the time to develop each of their characters. I could see the logic of not needing a solo Batman movie before <i>Justice League</i> since Batman had already recently enough had his own trilogy, but the other characters absolutely should have been given their own solo films before a team-up movie was made.</div>SupermanJul 28, 2018View
40351Teen TitansI know the kids will love it, and I'm a fan of TTG, so I'm thinking we may go check it out this weekend.&nbsp;Vaporman87Jul 28, 2018View

40349DC FilmsThere is probably some burnout taking place, but I myself am not. I'm one of those who is anxious for Marvel to take on other major stories that develop over the course of several films. My favorite being Secret Wars. I would really love to see the cinematic universe take of The Beyonder.<div><br></div><div>Perhaps have them delve deeper into the cosmic hierarchy... Galactus, The Living Tribunal, Eternity, etc.&nbsp;</div>Vaporman87Jul 28, 2018View
40348Teen TitansSo, Teen Titans GO To The Movies is now out in theaters. I might see it. Wasn't planning on seeing it in theaters, but if there's nothing else playing, I might do so.<div><br></div><div>Anyway, the post credits sequence to this film dropped one massive bomb: a surprise cameo of the OG Teen Titans counterparts with this huge teaser.</div><div><br></div><div><br></div><iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/N9hTprn3KU0" frameborder="0" allow="autoplay; encrypted-media" allowfullscreen=""></iframe><div><br></div><div>Yes, people. It looks like Season 6 of the original Teen Titans series may actually be happening. There's been a lot of rumors and speculation that's been going on about it. Some that's even been hinted by the voice-actors with Tara Strong saying that it will happen if the movie does well. When that was going on, I pretty much took all that with a grain of salt. But now, after seeing this 20 second clip used in the movie... I'm starting to believe it now.</div><div><br></div><div>Also, if it does happen, I hope it uses the animation style used in that short clip if not better, because it looks phenomenal. Plus, it gives the original Teen Titans a very brief appearance on the big screen which is pretty cool too.</div><div><br></div><div>I know it could be argued that this could still be a troll move, but I kind of doubt it. That would be a lot of effort just to troll the fanbase. But who knows.</div>blueluigiJul 28, 2018View
40347DC FilmsI gave up on the DC Cinematic Universe after Suicide Squad. There just trying too hard to compete with the Marvel Cinematic Universe and just aren't letting the films flow naturally like they should be.<div><br></div><div>Though to be fair, I think part of the reason why audiences have turned away isn't because of the films themselves. I think a lot of people are just in the "Disney Cult" so to speak. They'll bash anything that isn't Disney or perceived to be copying Disney (in this case the MCU) while praising anything that is Disney despite the flaws it may have. The last few MCU films haven't been that great, but people praise them anyway because they're just brainwashed to be Disney cultists.</div><div><br></div><div>I think we need to give the superhero genre a rest for awhile. Both Marvel and DC have milked this trend for all it's worth. It's getting tired.</div>Rick Ace RhodesJul 28, 2018View
40346Halloween Nostalgia & More!Halloween themed stuff could be a thing. But memories are done. I just have a RetroJunk Classic that I'll post around that time, but that's it.&nbsp;ThatDudeintheHoodieJul 28, 2018View
40345DC FilmsI'm optimistic about Aquaman because I'm a fan of James Wan.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>I was actually hoping he would have been the director of The Batman. Imagine a Batman movie from the director of Saw, Death Sentence, and the Conjuring? You could bet to see Ventriloquist show up in there somewhere! lol</div>echidna64Jul 28, 2018View
40344Last Movie You WatchedThe Client<div><br></div><div>Saw this film because my grandmother recorded it. It's an okay legal drama for the most part, telling the story of a young boy from a trailer park who gets entangled in a mafia legal case. I felt like it was kind of drawn out at times and was just unrealistic for what a legal drama is meant to capture. But if you are into these type of films then give it a viewing.</div><div><br></div><div>3//5</div><div><br></div><div>Rampage</div><div><br></div><div>An overall fun action flick. A little corny and I kind of wish we got a little more action in it. &nbsp;B<span style="font-size: 10pt;">ut it did what it needed to do.</span></div><div><span style="font-size: 10pt;"><br></span></div><div>3.5/5</div>Rick Ace RhodesJul 28, 2018View
