41802Old TV Shows & Movies Being Remade.
It’s mostly a way to cash in on nostalgia, but I do think that the craze has provided some creative folks the chance to pay homage to things they love from their youth. The remakes and reboots are a mixed bag, but any time a long-awaited sequel comes along, I’m initially excited and hopeful that it will do well critically and financially.
Vaporman87Jan 04, 2019View

41800One of Michael Keaton's least memorable films.
jkatz wrote :

Dalek227 wrote :

I'll have to check that out, I don't think that I've seen it. One of my favorite of his lesser known roles was a very small part he played in Much Ado About Nothing, the 1993 version with Denzel Washington. He was only on screen maybe twice but I rewound his first scene over and over. -end quote
My mom loves that movie, so I watched it quite a few times. Then in high school when our class was going over Shakespeare, guess what movie the teacher put on? -end quote
Nice!!!
I used to be obsessed with it and watch it constantly. It was weird when House premiered because I remember thinking whoa..That's Claudio! And thinking damn..he's a MAN now. He looked so much like a young boy in Much Ado About Nothing. Just a little older than he was in Dead Poet's Society. Haha I just noticed Michael Keaton made the cover despite only being in it briefly. I also forgot how horrible of an actor Keanu Reeves was in this. I don't find him a terrible actor overall so this was odd. Shakespeare is a different breed though I guess.

I saw the movie Peter's Friends shortly after watching this movie. It came out a year earlier. I don't know if these British actors have some sort of name they call their group, but it reminds me of the brat pack in the sense that a lot of these people are in each other's movies. I guess similar to Adam Sandler and his friends. Kenneth Branagh, Emma Thompson, Hugh Laurie, Imelda Staunton, etc. Actually quite a few of them were in Harry Potter randomly as well.

I'm not sure how this banner is at the bottom of my post haha
Dalek227Jan 04, 2019View
41799Posting Youtube Videos.I'm also having trouble figuring out how to do this. The way you described how to do it was unclear because I'm completely blind and unable to see the button you speak of. I clicked the embed video button and then pasted the link in the edit field that popped up and hit submit. When I read the post I have made it just shows the URL, not like a link, just a bunch of html. Should I only paste part of the URL?bluegrassbaby86Jan 04, 2019View

41797The CaféSpent my day going through my childhood piggy bank. I had over $40 in change just sitting in there after I was done counting. I decided to get rid of the bank itself since it was just taking up too much space.

I'm kind of sad to see it go. I got it as a souvenir when my family went to Hershey Park well over ten years ago. It's held up pretty well for how old it is. It's also one of the last items I own that I had owned before I moved out of New York.

I also found my lucky Namco game token while I was emptying it. I have absolutely no idea how it got in there.
Rick Ace RhodesJan 04, 2019View
41796Weird toysI used to have a toy called a Baby Wurble Bear I think. There was a YouTube vid of someone playing with one, but I'm having trouble finding it now. All he did was make these weird high-pitched noises. Not sure if that's weird enough for this thread, but I posted it because apparently they're pretty rare now.bluegrassbaby86Jan 04, 2019View

41790Old TV Shows & Movies Being Remade. This is true, but there are some of the classic shows that aren't on TV, or maybe I'm just a dork and don't know where they are. Of course I mostly watch TV by streaming services so I have been able to find a lot of stuff I want to see that way.bluegrassbaby86Jan 04, 2019View
