There's one almost every weekend in the summer, sometimes multiple. It's usually put on by a local business, a group of businesses, or a ward's chamber of commerce. This one was done by a coffee brewer/cafe. They put it on for their anniversary. Proceeds were for charity. There was a stage and eight bands.
-end quote
In Pomeroy (a neighboring village and the county seat), there is usually some kind of festival happening on the weekends during the summer. Typically it's just bands (mostly country or blues), food, and some inflatables for the kids. The biggest ones are the Gold Wings & Ribs Fest and the Big Bend Blues Bash. All of these take place in the parking lot right on the river. You could jump (or walk - at the boat levy) right into the river from the lot. So some people bring their boats and float in place to watch or listen.
| Vaporman87 | Jul 07, 2015 | |
