220472015 Summertime thread. It's July 15th, and I have been able to mow my yard a total of 3 times. Yes. It's that bad. Last night we had YET ANOTHER Flash Flood warning go out. Every 10 minutes my phone was buzzing with the alert. I've gotten more buzzes from Flash Flood alerts than phone calls this summer.
Vaporman87Jul 15, 2015View

22044Ghostbusters RebootI don't think that indicates anything. Maybe that's the part time job he took in retirement. Maybe he's playing a different character 30 years later.
shakin steakJul 15, 2015View
22043Defunct Toy CompaniesSome of my favorite toys when I was a kid were made by Ideal. Specifically, Robo Force, Rocks & Bugs & Things, and Manglors.

Thankfully, a company called Toyfinity acquired the licenses for these lines and has brought back the mordles from the RBT, and has brought Robo Force back, albeit in a different way. They're now part of the glyos building system. Toyfinity is also planning on bringing Manglors back sometime next year, too.

Is Tonka still around? I know they were bought by Hasbro back in the early 90s. I loved GoBots and Rock Lords.
FuzzJul 15, 2015View
22042Ghostbusters Reboot
shakin steak wrote :
I just hope it's a sequel. It should augment the story, not replace it. The original team retired one by one, and these ladies were hired as time went on.
-end quote

Definitely not a sequel. I just heard that Akroid has a cameo as a cab driver.

FuzzJul 15, 2015View
22041How do you feel about your age?I'm 36. I don't really feel any different than I did in my 20s. I still go to the gym and can do the same weights I did when I was younger. I still play video games once in a while. I still collect 80s toys for the man cave.

Really, the only thing different is a few grey hairs here and there.
FuzzJul 15, 2015View

22038How do you feel about your age?People usually tell me I look younger than I am like all the time. I guess they don't notice my crow's feet wrinkles. I think it's the way I project myself. I like to wear jeans, cartoons shirts, sneakers, and I have a Hello Kitty backpack.

In the legal sense I'm an adult and look like one, but I'm a child masquerading in a badly made adult costume.

I bet most of my peers probably have at least one kid and owned a house over the past 12 years at one time. Or did something really interesting like traveled the world or something. I don't think I'm anywhere near my age. I'm still trying to find myself and my special talent. I'll just think of myself of something needs to be aged like wine. Once I turned 30 I just got really mellow? I'm not sure how to describe that. I'm not as self conscious and angry as I was in my teens and 20s.
pikachuloverJul 15, 2015View
