50979If There Was a Retro Hall of Fame...
Mr. Magic, me too man. I have always liked all three bands I mentioned for very different reasons and I loved those three hits you posted as a kid and still do and fond memories of the radio playing these songs and Incubus, Linkin Park and Creed all got me into rock music as a kid especially more alternative rock music. And I know Creed saw a huge brief surge in popularity in the States after 9/11 and their album Weathered came out at the right time.

Although, Creed was always far more off a VH1 band than a MTV band as I don't remember any of Creed's videos ever being on TRL or anything like that. However, Weathered definitely like the band's biggest album at the time of its release as it was the album that even got me into the band's music and it felt like "My Sacrifice" and "One Last Breath" got far more MTV airplay and attention than anything Creed previously made up to that point in time.

And I only said it was controversial because how divisive Creed was and still is to an extent and because I know the Weathered album cover is hideous-looking and out there (even though I don't mind it). But that's a whole another discussion for another day.

As for something else I'd nominate for a Retro Hall Of Fame, I'd nominate Sam Raimi's first two Spider-Man movies which paved the way for the modern live-action comic book genre as we know it today and which are to this day some of my favorite movies of all time and I think they hold up incredibly well and Tobey Maguire is still my favorite Spider-Man. They are now incredibly retro along with Christopher Reeve's Superman movies and Michael Keaton's Batman movies.

Plus, even if you're not a big fan of Raimi's version of Spider-Man...how could you not love Willem Dafoe's performance as Norman Osborn and the Green Goblin (ignoring the silly costume of course):

BionicleFan1994May 12, 2025View

50973Last Thing you Bought?
I found a Power Rangers Megazord toy I have long been searching for: the deluxe version of Supertrain Megazord from Lightspeed Rescue. Still mint in box. With its size and design, it has been described as one of the worst Power Rangers toy to play with.

Rick Ace RhodesMay 04, 2025View
