29338SitcomsWhen it comes to the 1960's it was an embarrassment of riches. From 1965 to 1969 there was too much good stuff.

What I can't get younger guys to understand was how Batman, the first live-action series, was competing against some of the best shows television had to offer. Take your pick:

The Addams Family, The Munsters, Bewitched, I Dream of Jeannie, McHale's Navy, Hogan's Heroes. From magic powers to funny Nazis, 60's TV had a variety of sitcoms unlike anything my generation had ever seen, up to that time.

Just take F-Troop. The entire show was politically incorrect and like "Green Acres" may have been ahead of it's time. ABC actually got hate mail because of the "Hekawi Tribe", and it's funny treatment of the first Americans. But it was all for laughs and me and my friends simply found them funny. Frank de Kova as "Chief Wild Eagle" was brilliant! I think the Hekawi Tribe actually stole the show away from Forrest Tucker and Larry Storch.

Love this balloon scene with "Chief Wild Eagle" and his second in command, "Crazy Cat":

eddstarrFeb 29, 2016View

29335Last Movie You WatchedPaul Blart: Mall Cop 2 (2015) 8/10 I really like the first one and I like this too. I don't care if the critics don't like it. I know it's not a technically great movie and it's not going to win any best of awards but so what. I like it and the first one because they're silly, nice, dumb, light hearted movies and because I've always liked Kevin James. The only bad things were some forced comedy moments and some bad cgi at times.Jrs1991Feb 29, 2016View

For example, the "related videos" and "related articles" links for movies and TV shows aren't showing up, nor are the comments for movies and TV shows. You also need to refresh the page when adding a movie or TV show so it shows up. There are still some kinks to work out, I see, so I'll be PM'ing Vertex about them later today.
-end quote
My account is still active at RJ. I plan to go there again but for now I like being at R-D. You know it's really bad when you're on RJ just talking to yourself. -end quote
Yeah, I'm not really sure why there is any fuss about RJ having issues. I mean, the site is dead and hasn't really offered much socialization or new content in a couple years now.massrealityFeb 29, 2016View
