30456Batman v SupermanBeyond the trailers and the critics there's something else going on here I would like to address.<div><br></div><div>Batman and Superman have moved out from under their Corporate owners, they and all other Superheroes belong to all of us now. Superheroes are a worldwide phenomenon that has been passed from generation to generation - speaking to us from the years following WWII.</div><div><br></div><div>Until this century there's been an unspoken agreement that Superheroes represent "the better angels of our characters", setting the stage for the villains to test our characters. It seems to me that this new generation of writers want a total rethink of the whole Superhero genre. Throw away the old playbook cuz today is a new Superhero landscape.</div><div><br></div><div>Comic books have left me behind, so I never saw Batman Vs. Superman coming.</div><div><br></div><div>I don't even understand the motivations behind this movie. I have never wanted to see these two guys go at each other. Reminds me of an old joke where two drunks at a bar argue over who can win in a one-on-one fight between two Superheroes - just pick any two Superheroes.</div><div><br></div><div>See, I have no interest in reading about Batman vs. Superman nor am I interested in seeing a movie about same. So I'll stay on the sidelines, end of story.</div><div><br></div><div>Except for one thing, each generation leaves its mark on the Superhero story and this generation has taken things to a dark and twisted place that will influence the following generations. Once you look at Superman with suspicious minds, how do you ever come back from that?&nbsp;</div>eddstarrMar 28, 2016View

30453WatchmenI've always felt the book was way overrated. I enjoyed it for what it was and found the movie to be interesting enough, but I honestly have never understood the hype behind it all. Maybe it is one of those things that you needed to be part of when it was released to truly understand the significance.massrealityMar 28, 2016View
30452How was your day?Well guys, I've just had a wonderful Easter.&nbsp;<div>This year I didn't have to do nut'n - just dress-up and eat, eat, eat.</div><div><br></div><div>Easter eggs and chocolates aplenty. But whoever invented Easter Donuts is a Genius.</div><div><br></div><img width="519" height="237" src="http://www.yourbakemark.com/assets/images/recipe/1358474947EasterEggCake_519x237.jpg">eddstarrMar 28, 2016View

30449WatchmenI've never read the Watchmen comics. I had heard of them in my years collecting, but never was interested in checking them out. I did watch the movie though. It all seemed so joyless and dreary. It wasn't at all "fun". The story was certainly solid, but it just wasn't up my alley. I need a full spectrum of emotion in my superhero films. Even if the trigger for the emotions are poorly executed, I still can understand what the movie is going for, and can be put in that state of mind minus the actual emotional response. <br><br>Watchmen is a movie that just sucks the wind out of you and leaves you feeling like the world is crap.<br>Vaporman87Mar 28, 2016View
