36865The Emoji MovieThe Emoji Movie is now officially in contention for worst reviewed movie of the year. Given that it's also not faring too well at the box office, this will likely be Sony Animation's first loss on a picture.Rick Ace RhodesAug 01, 2017View
36864The Dark TowerThe Gunslinger Series is highly imaginative and ambitious but is also one of Stephen King's more amateurish outings. From what I remember, King even included an apology for the ending in the last book of the epic series.

That being said, I've always wanted to see this madness on screen.

However, there are some red flaggs with this movie. #1 it is rated PG-13 and the books are hard-R material. #2 the 90 minute run time. Even if it is a sequel, how can they adapt the lore of 7+ books in 90 minutes?

We might have to wait a little longer for a decent Dark Tower adaptation.
echidna64Aug 01, 2017View

36862The Dark TowerEh... I don't know. Seems kind of goofy really.

Imagine if the roles here were reversed, with Elba playing The Man in Black. Can you say "boycott"?
Vaporman87Aug 01, 2017View

I'd like to see what you come up with.
Vaporman87Aug 01, 2017View

36857What are your non-retro interests?I agree with Superman. It's hard to know what to count or where to draw the line. Anything involving media or pop culture feels intertwined with the retro stuff. Watching a specific show isn't a hobby by itself. Watching TV very often involves old shows. It's the same with movies, books, magazines, and games video or otherwise.

There is home improvement... there is community action... there are pets... but history often appears with all of those, too.

I suppose biking qualifies. But that's just how I get around. Campfires, maybe. Except when there are smores. Food and drinking are often nostalgic or include vintage activities and items as well. shakin steakAug 01, 2017View
