37268YouTube TV - Yes or No?Everything changes when you add "Money". The clock is ticking now that YouTube wants mo' money. &nbsp; The web has given creative people a landscape to bring their ideas forward.&nbsp;<div style="font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style="font-style: normal;">If YouTube is all about money now a lot of people will go elsewhere.</div><div style="font-style: normal;"><br></div><div style=""><i>"But it's only $35.00 a month for YouTube TV"</i>. &nbsp;Like I said, subscriber's overload. I have so many hits to my bank account now I don't wanna add more. I always knew the web would change but I was hoping for more time to let my bank account cool off.</div>eddstarrAug 30, 2017View

37266Nintendo to discontinue Miiverse service<div>Not sure where I mentioned that you can draw on the Switch tablet, as I have yet to see anything that uses it as a drawing tool. I know Splatoon 2 has a Miiverse like community, but I haven't used the Switch tablet for that as of yet.</div><div><br></div>That said, I feel like them ending Miiverse like that is a little premature. I haven't used Miiverse that much, but I did like it's uses in games like Super Mario Maker, as well as the Miiverse stage in Super Smash Bros for the Wii U. The platform did have potential, and I believe if Miiverse is carried over through the Switch, it might have been a more successful social media platform for Nintendo. Hell, even when Miiverse was used for the 3DS, it was very underutilized compared to how it was used for the Wii U.<div><br></div><div>I'd be nice if they bring a successor of Miiverse over to the Switch, kind of like what they did with Club Nintendo. I guess the closest we have to that is the Splatoon 2 community. Maybe through Nintendo Switch's Online Service, I guess.</div>blueluigiAug 30, 2017View
37265Nintendo to discontinue Miiverse service<p>actually you'll still be able to share level ID's, just on different social media. not like sharing them on miiverse mattered anyway, i had to advertise the hell out of mine just so they could get attention.</p>BenjanimeAug 30, 2017View
37264YouTube TV - Yes or No?If Youtube ends up becoming a paid subscription service, then they're further digging into their own grave. A lot of what they're doing with ad-pocalypse, and Youtube TV, feels like examples of them losing what made people go on Youtube in the first place. People go on Youtube because of the variety of content that is on the site. They don't go there for corporate stuff, or anything else that you see on TV. If they continue to do things like making Youtube into a paid subscription service, and driving away content creators with certain topics they're not allowed to cover, then eventually, people are going to migrate to another video sharing site, and Youtube will end up becoming irrelevant, much like what has happened to MySpace.blueluigiAug 30, 2017View

37262YouTube TV - Yes or No?I get my local stations for free, so, no.&nbsp;<div><br></div><div>BTW Vaporman, my parents are in a similar situation to you, no signal. They're about 40 miles from NYC. When I was a kid we got all the New York channels with a roof antenna. From the World Trade Center.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><div>So last time I went there, we went to Best Buy and got a new "digital" antenna and a signal booster, like I was suggesting to you a few years back. Sad to say, it did not work. Even though the box claimed to have a range of 60 miles. Dang it.</div><div><br></div><div>I still want a roof antenna at my place. The rabbit ears do fine, but sometimes adjusting it takes some doing. There's one particular channel that plays a couple of cool shows late Sunday night, and it's a 50/50 shot whether I can get it to come in. Analog broadcast was a lot easier to deal with. If the reception wasn't perfect, you had an idea which way to go, and if you still couldn't improve it, at least you could still watch. This business of moving everything to the internet really isn't my cup of tea.</div>shakin steakAug 30, 2017View
