I vaguely remember seeing Ghostbusters 2, which is impressive as I was about 2.5 years old. The memory is dim but the fact that it was a drive in theater left an impact that stuck with me.

I know that I saw An American Tale in the theatre. The memory is vague. What I remember more about that is listening to the soundtrack on cassette on my family stereo.
The movie I remember more is seeing Garbage Pail Kids with my dad. It was my brother's birthday. My dad took me to the movies to keep me out of my brother's hair. I remember the theatre was not very full, and my dad let me lay on my tummy (the word I would have used) in the middle of the aisle. I distinctly remember Valery Vomit puking onto the crowd at the climax. Recently I brought this up to my dad. My mom had no recollection of it, but my dad was like, "yeeeeeaah...I remember." He hated the movie. |

I can also remember the first drive-in movie I saw. It was 1989's Batman. My parents took me to the Moonlight Theater in Bristol VA. They sat in the backseat and tried to ruin the experience for me by acting like they were making out the whole time.

Sure they were acting?

One of my final papers for college was about the drive in theatre. The intro was basically a mini retro-daze article about seeing 1989 Batman at the druve-in. Also my very first drive in memory. |

The first movie I remember seeing was Aladdin (1992). I would have been 5. Aladdin was terrific on the big screen, especially the carpet riding and and Cobra-Jafar sequences.
The movie that had the greatest impact on me was Jurassic Park (1993). The first encounter with the water shaking and the T-Rex was one of the most memorable movie experiences. |

We didn't go to the movies very often now that I think back. I remember Lion King and Mortal Kombat. My mom made us leave the theater after Sub Zero froze the warrior and he broke into pieces haha

The mentions of drive-in theaters have got me looking forward to the one near me opening back up this summer. I've never been to one before and was planning on trying to go this summer. It's kind of a bucket list goal for me.
