His IQ is his own shoe size, he's not Father of the Year material, but he's an animated icon.

The Simpsons are an enigma. To see how they evolved from a little sketch on Tracy Ullman to today, most people familiar with it can look back at any point in their life and relate to something on the show.

I love the character, only one on the show that truly made me laugh.

It may sound silly to ask that animated characters be human and believable, but that was something early seasons of the show did very well. Homer used to be a little dim and angry, but he was ultimately well-meaning and loving. Now he is a dope who just does stupid stuff for no reason at all, and it's supposed to be funny(?) but it's not.

I love watching the Treehouse of Horror episodes as a Halloween tradition.

I've recently found the Zombie Simpsons webpage, which is extremely thorough in examining and explaining the decline of The Simpsons, along with some reveling in the early years of the show. I encourage anybody who also enjoys long-winded pop culture critique to check it out.

The game doesn't start until you say YES.
