I took the day off from work and got in some Christmas shopping, a journey through the real world.

Better today than the day before Christmas... it's just insane then.

@eddstarr:

Sounds like a pretty rocky journey.

Pretty uneventful for me, a bunch of friends are at a convention. Got some writing done and was inspired to get a chapter of one of my fanfics out. Spent the day watching Die Hard and a couple Marvel Movies.

That's funny. While I was away with an old friend watching the new Star Wars flick, my wife was home with the kids watching Ant-Man and Age of Ultron. Must have been a Marvel kind of day for everybody.

Ha! I saw Die Hard this week! Love that movie!

As for today, I watched one of my fave specials:

The Simpsons: Marge Be Not Proud

Bart, who is always on Santa's naughty list, does something that only a true nobody would do: Steal. This episode showcases his bad side, but it also shows his good one. Marge's heartbreak and disappointment is hard to look at, though.

Today has been pretty good so far.

The wife made a nice breakfast of eggs, bacon, and toast,
Had some work to do in the wood shop to get the last of the orders finished up and ready to ship out tomorrow,
My oldest had me help her wrap her Christmas present to the wife,
Both my daughters put up little Christmas trees in their rooms and needed help with some ornaments, so we went through the ones I have left over for this year,
I had time to finish the last present for my wife,
Christmas music playing in the shop all day with some apple and pumpkin candles burning,

And this afternoon, I think we are going to watch the original Miracle on 34th Street as a family...it's the last of the movies we have to watch this season, and then if Vapor gets it put up, we'll watch last night's Christmas Special together.

Other than that, it should be a lazy evening around here.

That all sounds awesome Mickey. I'll be sure to get the special put up for your family. Sounds like a great day you've had.

Lazy evenings are the best kind of evenings!

I was watching The Departed all day. A lengthy Martin Scorsese masterpiece!
