thank you all for the heartfelt comments, i truly appreciate it. i'm doing a little better today, so i may be back sooner. i recently went to visit my aunt as she had some close friends over as well so we all had a good cry. i wish he hadn't gone so soon, but i think with the constant back pains and sores that he'd been getting i can just assume that god thought that it was his time to go and didn't want him to suffer anymore. i'm really going to miss hanging around him as he was one of my favorite uncles...

You never get over it, but time does heal the wounds. I still get down when I think of losing my mom, but the time that has passed, and my family around me, has made the sting of it far less potent.

Time will be your healer, my friend.

But in the meantime, have a really big hug

Still snow everywhere today. We still managed to have some lunch at Bob Evans. Busy day at the office with all this cold weather here lately.

I've been doing some repairs on my 3DS. Remember the A button I was talking about earlier. Well, I opened up the system and worked on fixing it. The good news is that my A button seems to be working like a charm now. It's a pretty simple fix. However, reassembling the system back together is a complete nightmare. I'm currently having trouble getting the volume control to stay in it's proper place, and I seem to now have it set where the system would give me an error message a minute after starting it up. So, even though I fixed what I originally worked on doing, there's still some work for me to do for tomorrow.

On the flipside, at least I won't have this much trouble fixing the L and R triggers that's been broken for a while. The only thing I would need is to order the ribbon cable replacements online, which should attach at the back of the system rather than having it placed right below the motherboard like the other buttons on the system. Though, I might just wait until I get the New 3DS instead, because once I have all my data transferred... I likely won't be using my old 3DS for anything other than trading Pokemon.

Yeah, that flu has been nasty again this year. Thankfully we avoided it (knock on wood) but we did get some nasty colds and sinus/ear infections.
