I just came back from King's Dominion the other weekend. It was nice. I like theme parks but I would probably enjoy them more if I wasn't so dang afraid of heights or being hurled around. It was mostly a trip I had planned for my wife and she enjoyed it too.

Wow, I'd just about forgotten King's Dominion. I've learned the hard way that height and speed do not treat me so well in my old age, lol.
HAPPY HALLOWEEN to one and ALL! |

I believe I did see something over there called the Volcano but not any Wayne's World stuff. They were celebrating their 40th anniversary when I went there.

PopRewind has the goods on an old favorite of mine, The Hurler (AKA The Wayne's World roller coaster). I had the opportunity to ride this one several times while on vacation in Virginia (at King's Dominion). Way!

That just brought me so much joy!

I miss that old Paramount branding at Carowinds. It just ain't the same when you don't have Top Gun, Days of Thunder, and Wayne's World slapped on everything.
I personally don't do rollercoasters, but a couple years ago I took my girlfriend to Carowinds, she rode the beloved Hurler just once. When she got off she looked like she had just participated in a battle royal. She was so beat. |

It's a control thing. Give me a steering wheel or brake, and I got no problem with a rollercoaster. But strap me in, give me nothing and take me for a ride.... I don't think so.

I live close to Great America which used to be owned by Paramount.
I had no idea this was a thing in other places too, but in hindsight that makes sense. Wonder if our Top Gun rides are any different.. The women of New Vegas ask me a lot if there's a Mrs. New Vegas. Well, of course there is! You're her. And you're still just as perfect as the day we met.
