i actually used to own the pc version of gex, thankfully it was never iffy with full screen resolution like some of the other pc games i used to have. speaking of pc though, here's a little bit of trivia:

the sonic pc compilation titled 'sonic & knuckles collection' strangely has a change in notes with a few of the zones, formerly carnival night, ice cap and launch base. the change was possibly because the original tracks in the cartridge version were influenced by michael jackson since he was supposed to be responsible for adding his own compositions early in the game's development.

Pop Fiction did an episode on MJs contribution to Sonic 3.

a link to the past medley done by the symphony of the goddesses orchestra. during this time, the composers wanted to do orchestrations of a handful of legend of zelda titles to bid farewells to nintendo power upon its last few months before getting the axe.
