With November here, I will let it be known what will be up for grabs for Christmas.
Firstly, the winner of this year's (2014) contest will receive the entire collection of Sears Wishbook Catalogues from 1980 to 1989 (worth a nice chunk of money themselves - go have a look for yourself).
Secondly, the winner can choose ONE item from any of the catalogues, and I will do my best to secure that item on secondary markets (hopefully brand new or still in the package). The aftermarket limit on this item is $500 USD. I will pay no more than that for the item (so choosing second and third items may be a good idea if the first falls through).
Thirdly, the winner will receive a $250 USD Amazon Gift Card.
2 Runner Ups will receive 1,500 and 750 points (for 1st and 2nd respectively).
A Christmas Article Contest 2014 thread will show up in the forum within the next week or so, so keep an eye out for it.

@Ben
I think an article about holiday family feuds would be really interesting and a unique angle for an article. |

only if vapor will allow the telling of unnecessary expletives thrown between family members.

How did I know the catalogs were going to be a prize? How?
