No elephant ears. But that was a very small festival. More like a big block party, really. Maybe there will be elephant ears at Riot Fest.

@pikachulover: Wow. A month long Fair? Leave it to California to go big with everything.

Actually it used to be longer in the 80s and 90s it was only closed 1 day a week now it's closed 2 days a week. Plus there is the Orange County fair that is in July-August which also runs for about a month.

The Erie County Fair is here every August. We go every year, but it has become monotonous. It's the same stuff every year. The only thing that seems to change is the increase in prices for ride tickets and games. Now, we just go for the food.

@Fuzz: Too true that little changes from year to year. But I think that is partly why it feels so nostalgic to me. It's the same as it was 30 years ago when I was 10.

Lookin' good. Dang, how long is this fair? That is way sturdier than anything at the fests I work.

It lasts 6 days, from Monday to Saturday. That building was remodeled last year. This year they remodeled the restrooms, Grand Stand, and a few other smaller things.

Our fair has a statue of PeZZ! in the center of the midway that everyone is required to place a burnt offering near when they pass by.
