He's back in CGI form, but who cares? He's still as wacky as ever!

It's about time The Noid made it back into the public consciousness.

Not even COVID can stop the Noid.

Wasn't there a really good reason for him vanishing, though?

Probably the same that most of Ronald McDonald's friends have vanished.

From what I looked up, there was some incident with a mentally-ill man back in 1989 that many people believe to be the reason why Domino's discontinued using the Noid. Apparently a paranoid schizophrenic in Georgia who just so happened to have the last name Noid thought the advertisment campaign was an attack on him and thought Domino's stole his identity.

He preceded to storm into his local Domino's with a firearm and took a couple of employees hostage. No one was hurt but the guy was later sent to a mental institution for his crimes. He later committed suicide in 1995.

Good grief, being that I'm a Georgia man I feel like I should've heard this story by now!

With Pizza Hut bringing back their classic logo look, I think Domino's Pizza wanted to bring back something classic too.

While The Noid is a good call as far as that goes, Pizza Hut's investment in "nostalgia" has gone much farther, with them converting some locations back to the classic interior of the franchise from the '80s.
