Hmm... I'm not sure what to think yet. I'm going to let this sink in for a while and THEN comment on it.

Also... is the title of the film just, "Ninja Turtles"?

Huuu... Okay. Here are my thoughts so far.

I like the look of the turtles. I could do without the "nostrils", but hey... turtles have nostrils too. I like the rugged appearance of the protective gear and such.

I don't particularly like the "lips" on the turtles. It just doesn't look right.

Shredder is a bit of what you might call, overkill. How do you even put an outfit like that on without carving yourself into slices? How do you move? I don't like it much. Still... I don't HATE it. So, eh... I am not TOTALLY turned off... yet.

  •   My list formatting is a little messed up.
  •   Yes, the lips are a little strange.  I didn't even notice that until you pointed them out.
  •   I agree that Shredder looks over the top.  Like Super Shredder in SotO.
  •   As
for the nostrils.  Why, in the painting, do Michelangelo and Raphael
have human- or dog-like noses and Leonardo and Donatello do not?
Otherwise I don't mind them?  Their faces are overall more realistic
than in the earlier live action movies.
  •   Mike's gold chain and Don's clear-framed glasses...uh...looks like oldschool hip hop?  Cool I guess?
  •   Raph's sunglasses look like xXxtreeeeem!
Like Poochie (from The Itchy and Scratchy Show)  I guess that fits in
with his character if we are twenty years ago, but we are
    not.

BTW, I don't know the veracity of these pictures.  I find no proof they're truly associated
with the upcoming movie.  (They came from here, anybody know anything about movieweb.com ?)  After all, this picture is also there...and depicts a completely different design.

Finally, you know what I'd like to see?  All the turtles wearing the same color masks.  Like they originally did, before cartoons and shoddy action figures necessitated different colors.

Mr Magic
And I thought Super Shredder from Secret of the Ooze looked awesome.

@steak: Yeah, what is up with 2 of the turtles having one type of nose, and 2 having another type? Strange. I tend to agree with you with regard to the masks colors all being red, but I think people tend to associate the multi-color scheme with the turtles now SO MUCH, that to revert to the comic origins might throw people off even more than the changes that are already apparent here. It must not bother Eastman or Laird much, otherwise they would likely push for it.
