gamestop seems to really want to go out of their way to keep business going. also employees are banding together on social media and agree with everyone else that this is a bad idea.

Gamestop was in financial trouble before this hit, so them closing stores prematurely is like a nail in the coffin.

Pre-ordering games was a predatory business tactic in which gamers would pay full-price for a game before any gameplay or reviews were released. All for what? A bonus skin?

I like pre ordering since I can pay in smaller, more managable for my budget chunks. Its a risk, but if its from a trusted company its a risk worth taking.

thankfully i don't have to worry about being in a line full of B.O. stink nerds while picking up a preorder

This is unbelievable!

I'm on the eve of celebrating my birthday during a pandemic, and our only plan of action is to "shelter in place" - the death of small business around the world! Zanadu Comics in Seattle closed its doors back in 2018 and now the stage is set for killing off the rest of the comic book retailers. 

Comis book stores that close may never re-open. Once they are gone - they will not return.

now gamestop workers have to wear plastic bags around their hands when working.

Governor Jay Inslee has Washington State on :Shelter in Place" status, so I'm working from home until further notice. But what about my neighbors? I like my neighbors and some of them won't make April rent.

Hopefully some landlords will be lenient on rent for a time.
