Thanksgiving: A time when we remember the pilgrims' journey, watch specials, and eat til we puke.

My parents are inviting a couple that are customers of their's over since they don't have any family in the era. Other then, just dinner for us.

I will be the one cooking this year and I'm totally not prepared for it. By that I mean doing it the way I want to. I wanted to Brine my bird this year, can't do it. Was going to do a casserole, not happening. Gonna be eating leftovers like royalty for a while. 

We'll be once again joining close friends for their Thanksgiving get-together. Always a good time. But first... the parade!

As I've done these past several years, I'll be working at my retail job. Thankfully (pardon the pun), since I'm a cashier now as opposed to a cart pusher, I won't need to be outside in the cold weather, or whatever bad weather will be in store.

What is everyone's favorite side dish?

For me, I'd have to say sweet potato casserole. Especially with pecan topping.

Mac and cheese.

I'll be having Thanksgiving dinner at my grandmother's house. Favorite side dish? I'm going to go with corn.

My mom's potatoes au gratin.

thanksgiving here was a bit of a downer this year. since most of my family members are a few states away we didn't have the gas money to go to another relatives' house for a big dinner so it was just me, my mom, my stepdad and one uncle spending our thanksgiving at our own place.
