He went to the batcave in the sky.

Man, this was a sucky way to start the morning. I really hate this. He seemed so vibrant for his age. At least his career and life was full and left a positive impact on our culture. But there is a bat-shaped hole in all our hearts now. He will be sorely missed You love this signature.

I wonder how Family Guy is going to handle this.

What will the future hold for Catman? if he's even around anymore.
"Magic can happen to you."

He'll be missed. He was THE Batman to a whole generation, not to mention many generations afterwards. Even though I was a child in the '90s, he was still the first Batman I ever remember seeing on TV. I'm still a big fan of his even now. Just a couple of years back, I even paid to have my picture taken while sitting in a replica of the Batmobile.

As you guys can imagine, the role of Batman dominated Adam's life to where it seemed his acting career was over. But Adam, to his strength of personality, learned to embrace the whole Batman Fandom and use that love to re-imagine his future in acting.
It was Adam who turned "Adam West" into a brand that lent itself into any number of comedy situations, sometimes using all his "Caped Crusader" experience, to the delight of all his fans. |
|
One of Adam's more memorable performances, to me, is in the MST3K target... Zombie Nightmare. It's a film that also featured Tia Carrere in a pre-Wayne's World role.
