From "Star Trek: The Next Generation", my favorite alien is "The Traveler" - a being that means no harm to other life forms but uses their technology to travel across the universe.
This clip shows the accident that sends the Enterprise to the "End of the Universe". The drama of this scene comes from the bridge crew. They all serve a defined tour of duty with the expectation of returning home to their families when their time is done. Unless the accident of the Traveler can be undone, the Enterprise is so far away, no one will ever see home again. |
