Back when I was at Arizona State University, a local DJ at one of the Phoenix radio stations asked for a listener poll: "Worst Songs of the 70's".

Keep in mind that this was 1978 so the decade wasn't over yet, lol.

Well it turned into a day long listener battle but one of the songs that hit the "worst" list was , "Brandy", by Looking Glass, around #25 or so. Another surprise to me was, "Precious and Few", by Climax.

Could not believe that so many songs I like were hated by so many other people. After the shock wore off I learned a lesson - music is a personal thing.

At least the 70's offered a wide variety of music.

Everything from, "Me and Mrs. Jones" by Billy Paul to "Convoy" by C.W. McCall.

Tanya Tucker had a Top Ten hit song in 1975 called, "Lizzy and the Rainman". It was Tanya's only crossover hit and I remember Casey Kasem had a lot of fun when this song lasted three weeks on "American Top 40".

But other than that, I agree Maybe somebody with ample talent and spare time can re-edit the movie to have an alternate soundtrack with the songs in this thread.
