eddstarr wrote :I like that episode of Gilligan's Island, too. Actually, there are quite a few episodes of Gilligan's Island that featured characters who would make good additions to this thread. How about the ape who beat out both Ginger and Mary Ann, not to mention Mrs. Howell, to become Miss Castaway?

Here are a couple of obscure favorites of mine. One appeared in an episode of Adventures of Superman, and the other appeared in an episode of Gilligan's Island. I'm sure I don't have to say which is which.-end quoteOne of my favorite episodes of Gilligan's Island featured that weird-looking monkey who discovered the hand-made dishes would not explode when soft, but would give a powerful explosion when completely dried.Made with plastic explosives, the dishes and Gilligan's tooth fillings made for a bang-up good time on the ol' island for the castaways. And the little monkey enjoyed every minute of it:

Do you guys remember "Mona"?
She was the little co-star with Adam West in the movie, "Robinson Crusoe on Mars", from 1964. As MGP-1 (the main ship) approaches Mars orbit there was a touching scene where Adam is feeding Mona from a tube of banana paste - really a wonderful scene. Much later in the movie, Mona is not a happy monkey as the movie is filled with explosions caused by constant attacks by "Friday's" alien handlers. In many scenes poor Mona also received from rough handling! I must say that even after all these years, the "insect-like" treatment given the alien spaceships is one of the outstanding effects that still make this movie unusual to watch: |
