Futurama's S3E4 "Luck of the Fryrish"
Simpsons S6E22 "Round Springfield" The women of New Vegas ask me a lot if there's a Mrs. New Vegas. Well, of course there is! You're her. And you're still just as perfect as the day we met.

Hey Arnold - Helga on the Couch
It was neat that fans got to learn about Helga's miserable past, which was the reason she was such a bully. "If you think a 401K is your mother-in-law's bra size, you might be a redneck."

When I was in grade school during the 1960's no other cartoon sparked as many comments as Tex Avery's,
"Three Little Pups", from 1953. What starts as a conventional cartoon in the opening scene quickly turns into one of the funniest cartoons I've ever seen, as soon as the dog catcher shifts the truck into "sneak"! Three Little Pups by MistyIsland1 |
Edd I remember Droopy the dog but I have never seen this one. The voice actors of course are instantly recognizable.

NLogan wrote : Yes, that's what makes this cartoon standout, Daws Butler was the go-to guy for his easy southern accent. It's amazing how the feel of this cartoon changes as soon as Southern wolf opens his mouth - it's almost like a different cartoon from what you expected. The Three Little Pups is one of those cartoons where dialog forms the best jokes as Southern Wolf actually talks to the audience with a running commentary. Th voice of Dawes Butler sets up each scene, then he reacts to the result - truly funny stuff. One of the outstanding jokes of the 1960's was Paul Henning using the old western chase scene between the the sheriff and the bank robbers, including the music track, on his hit comedy show, "Green Acres". This was the TV show that was always on when Arnold the Pig paid a visit to Oliver and Lisa Douglas. |

Speaking of Tex Avery, how about "Red Hot Riding Hood"? Tex knew how to take cartoon humor to a whole 'nother level. "If you think a 401K is your mother-in-law's bra size, you might be a redneck."

No storybook character has had more makeovers than Little Red Riding Hood. Yet each take on her is unique and funny.
My personal favorite if the 1944 Merrie Melodies version, "Little Red Riding Rabbit". It even has my favorite gag - the short cut to grandma's house! Bugs Bunny - Little Red Riding Rabbit by bugs-bunny1 |
