@Vapor: I tried to play Bases Loaded (as well as half-a-dozen of other baseball-related NES games) but I still haven't found my cup of tea. It is worth mentioning, however, that the original Baseball (by Nintendo) and Little League Baseball are still a ton of fun for me (even if they are both a bit on the unfair side).

I enjoyed the original "Tennis" for the NES. Especially doubles play with a friend.

I have vague recollections of playing that with my sister... and if we are talking about the same thing, then OMG you have reminded me of a treasure!

I think what made it a much more enjoyable game for me was the fact that my best friend and I made it more than just a game. We made playing the game an event. We often would give commentary as different characters recorded onto cassette tape. That made it way more fun.

@Vapor: That's all kinds of neat.

@Ben: You, sir, have made an excellent purchase. I have beaten the original one SO many times.

@Silvervix

i'm pretty far in, played a lot of it last night.

earlier this morning though i played a bit of mega man today, and not gonna lie i'm bad at this series lol. since the first game didn't have energy tanks i took advantage of the pause technique to take care of the last few bosses since luck wasn't on my side.

been playing river city ransom underground on steam, it's pretty faithful to the original and there's a new leveling system but it's highly recommended to play with others as the game has a bit of a difficulty spike, and for good reason.
